How To Install cfv on CentOS 7
Introduction

on CentOS 7.
What is cfv
cfv is a utility to both test and create .sfv, .csv, .crc, .md5(sfv-like), md5sum, bsd md5, sha1sum, and .torrent files. These files are commonly used to ensure the correct retrieval or storage of data. It also has test-only support for PAR and PAR2 files The bittorent package must be separately installed for .torrent support.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install cfv
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install cfv.
Install cfv on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cfv
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install cfv
Install cfv on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install cfv
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install cfv
How To Uninstall cfv on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the cfv
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove cfv
