How To Install ccrypt on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ccrypt on Kali Linux.
What is ccrypt
ccrypt is:
ccrypt is a utility for encrypting and decrypting files and streams. It was designed as a replacement for the standard unix crypt utility, which is notorious for using a very weak encryption algorithm. ccrypt is based on the Rijndael cipher, which is the U.S. government’s chosen candidate for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES, see http://www.nist.gov/aes). This cipher is believed to provide very strong security.
There are three methods to install ccrypt on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ccrypt Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ccrypt using apt-get by running the following command:

To uninstall only the ccrypt package we can use the following command:

To uninstall ccrypt and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ccryptRemove ccrypt Configurations and Data
To remove ccrypt configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ccryptRemove ccrypt configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
