How To Install catch on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install catch on Kali Linux.
What is catch
catch is:
Catch is a multi-paradigm automated test framework for C++ and Objective-C.
Its key features are:
- Distributed as a single header file with no dependencies.
- Test cases are self-registering.
- Test cases can be de divided into isolated sections.
- Behaviour Driven Design style is possible with GIVEN-WHEN-THEN in place of test cases and sections.
- Only one core assertion macro for comparisons; standard language operators are used for comparison, yet the expression is decomposed and properly logged.
There are three methods to install catch on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install catch Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install catch using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install catchInstall catch Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install catch using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the catch package we can use the following command:

To remove catch configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
