carton is:

carton is a command line tool to track the Perl module dependencies for your Perl application. The required dependencies are managed through a file named cpanfile and tracked through the carton.lock file. It makes deployments easier and allows other developers of your application to have the exact same versions of the modules.

There are three methods to install carton on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install carton Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install carton using apt-get by running the following command:
