How To Install callaudiod on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install callaudiod
on Kali Linux.
What is callaudiod
callaudiod is a daemon for dealing with audio routing during phone calls. It provides a D-Bus interface allowing other programs to:
- switch audio profiles
- output audio to the speaker or back to its original port
- mute the microphone
This package contains the daemon and D-Bus interface definition.
There are three ways to install callaudiod
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install callaudiod Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install callaudiod
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install callaudiod

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install callaudiod
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install callaudiod
Install callaudiod Using aptitude
