How To Install caja-share on Debian 9

What is caja-share
caja-share is:
Caja is the official file manager for the MATE desktop. This package adds extended functionality to the Caja file manager.
The Caja share extension allows you to quickly share a folder from the Caja file manager without requiring root access. It uses Samba, so your folders can be accessed by any operating system.
There are three methods to install caja-share
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install caja-share Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install caja-share
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install caja-share
Install caja-share Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install caja-share
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install caja-share
Install caja-share Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install caja-share

How To Uninstall caja-share on Debian 9
To uninstall only the caja-share
