How To Install caja-common on Kali Linux

What is caja-common

caja-common is:

Caja is the official file manager for the MATE desktop. It allows one to browse directories, preview files and launch applications associated with them. It is also responsible for handling the icons on the MATE desktop. It works on local and remote filesystems.

This package contains the architecture independent files.

There are three methods to install caja-common on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install caja-common Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install caja-common using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install caja-common

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install caja-common using apt by running the following command:
