How To Install cairo-dock-core on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install cairo-dock-core on Kali Linux.
What is cairo-dock-core
cairo-dock-core is:
Cairo-dock has a family-likeness with OS X dock, but with more options. It uses cairo to render nice graphics, and Glitz to use hardware acceleration. It’s fully configurable and can be a taskbar too. You can easily plug applets into it.
This package provides Cairo-dock-core application.
There are three methods to install cairo-dock-core on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cairo-dock-core Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cairo-dock-coreInstall cairo-dock-core Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cairo-dock-coreInstall cairo-dock-core Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cairo-dock-coreHow To Uninstall cairo-dock-core on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cairo-dock-core package we can use the following command:

To uninstall cairo-dock-core and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cairo-dock-coreRemove cairo-dock-core Configurations and Data
To remove cairo-dock-core configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cairo-dock-coreRemove cairo-dock-core configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cairo-dock-core configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
