How To Install cairo-dock-core on Debian 9

What is cairo-dock-core
cairo-dock-core is:
Cairo-dock has a family-likeness with OS X dock, but with more options. It uses cairo to render nice graphics, and Glitz to use hardware acceleration. It’s fully configurable and can be a taskbar too. You can easily plug applets into it.
This package provides Cairo-dock-core application.
There are three methods to install cairo-dock-core on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cairo-dock-core Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cairo-dock-core
Install cairo-dock-core Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cairo-dock-core
Install cairo-dock-core Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cairo-dock-core using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cairo-dock-core
How To Uninstall cairo-dock-core on Debian 9
To uninstall only the cairo-dock-core package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cairo-dock-core
Uninstall cairo-dock-core And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cairo-dock-core and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 9, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cairo-dock-core
Remove cairo-dock-core Configurations and Data
To remove cairo-dock-core configuration and data from Debian 9 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cairo-dock-core
Remove cairo-dock-core configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cairo-dock-core configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cairo-dock-core
