How To Install caffe on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install caffe on Kali Linux.
What is caffe
caffe is:
Caffe is a deep learning framework made with expression, speed, and modularity in mind. It is developed by the Berkeley AI Research Lab (BAIR) and community contributors.
It contains caffe executables, configured as CPU_ONLY.
Issue this command at the root of caffe source tree for a unit test: $ caffe-gtest –gtest_shuffle –gtest_filter="-GPU"
There are three methods to install caffe on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install caffe Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install caffe using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install caffeInstall caffe Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install caffe using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install caffeInstall caffe Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install caffe using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install caffeHow To Uninstall caffe on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the caffe package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove caffeUninstall caffe And Its Dependencies
To uninstall caffe and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove caffeRemove caffe Configurations and Data
To remove caffe configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge caffeRemove caffe configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove caffe configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge caffeDependencies
