How To Install caffe-doc on Ubuntu 20.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install caffe-doc on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is caffe-doc
caffe-doc is:
Caffe is a deep learning framework made with expression, speed, and modularity in mind. It is developed by the Berkeley AI Research Lab (BAIR) and community contributors.
This package contains doxygen documents (both HTML version and PDF version) and some other documents and examples.
The HTML doc can be found here: /usr/share/doc/caffe-doc/html/index.html The PDF doc can be found here: /usr/share/doc/caffe-doc/refman.pdf.gz
There are three methods to install caffe-doc on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install caffe-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install caffe-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install caffe-doc
Install caffe-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install caffe-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install caffe-doc
Install caffe-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install caffe-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install caffe-doc
How To Uninstall caffe-doc on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the caffe-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove caffe-doc
Uninstall caffe-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall caffe-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove caffe-doc
Remove caffe-doc Configurations and Data
To remove caffe-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge caffe-doc
Remove caffe-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove caffe-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge caffe-doc
