How To Install cadubi on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install cadubi
on Kali Linux.
What is cadubi
CADUBI is an application written in Perl that allows you to draw text-based images that are viewable on typical unix-based consoles. Usually the applications that emulate these consoles support various text modes, such as background and foreground colors, bold, and inverse.
This text art, commonly called “ASCII art”, is used in various places such as online BBSes, email and login prompts.
There are three ways to install cadubi
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install cadubi Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install cadubi
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install cadubi
Install cadubi Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install cadubi
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install cadubi
Install cadubi Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install cadubi
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install cadubi
How To Uninstall cadubi on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the cadubi
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove cadubi
Uninstall cadubi And Its Dependencies
To uninstall cadubi
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove cadubi
Remove cadubi Configurations and Data
To remove cadubi
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge cadubi
Remove cadubi configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove cadubi
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge cadubi
