How To Install ca-certificates-mono on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is ca-certificates-mono
Mono is a platform for running and developing applications based on the ECMA/ISO Standards. Mono is an open source effort led by Xamarin. Mono provides a complete CLR (Common Language Runtime) including compiler and runtime, which can produce and execute CIL (Common Intermediate Language) bytecode (aka assemblies), and a class library.
This package uses the hooks of the ca-certificates package to update the Mono keystore.
There are three ways to install ca-certificates-mono
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ca-certificates-mono Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ca-certificates-mono
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ca-certificates-mono

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ca-certificates-mono
using apt

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install ca-certificates-mono

How To Uninstall ca-certificates-mono on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ca-certificates-mono
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ca-certificates-mono

and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ca-certificates-mono

sudo apt-get -y purge ca-certificates-mono
