How To Install bwidget on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install bwidget on Kali Linux.
What is bwidget
bwidget is:
The BWidget toolkit is a high-level widget set for Tcl/Tk. It contains widgets such as progress bars, 3D separators, various manager widgets for top levels, frames, paned or scrolled windows, button boxes, notebooks or dialogs as well as composite widgets such as combo boxes, spin boxes and tree widgets.
The BWidget toolkit is completely written in Tcl so no compiled extension library is required.
There are three methods to install bwidget on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bwidget Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bwidget using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bwidgetInstall bwidget Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bwidget using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bwidgetInstall bwidget Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bwidget using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bwidgetHow To Uninstall bwidget on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bwidget package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bwidgetUninstall bwidget And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bwidget and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bwidgetRemove bwidget Configurations and Data
To remove bwidget configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bwidgetRemove bwidget configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bwidget configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge bwidgetDependencies
