How To Install bundlewrap on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install bundlewrap
on Debian 10.
What is bundlewrap
bundlewrap is:
By allowing for easy and low-overhead config management, BundleWrap fills the gap between complex deployments using Chef or Puppet and old school system administration over SSH.
While most other config management systems rely on a client-server architecture, BundleWrap works off a repository cloned to your local machine.
It then automates the process of SSHing into your servers and making sure everything is configured the way it’s supposed to be. You won’t have to install anything on managed servers.
There are three methods to install bundlewrap
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bundlewrap Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bundlewrap
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bundlewrap

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bundlewrap

by running the following command:

Install bundlewrap Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bundlewrap
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bundlewrap
How To Uninstall bundlewrap on Debian 10
To uninstall only the bundlewrap
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bundlewrap
Uninstall bundlewrap And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bundlewrap
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bundlewrap
Remove bundlewrap Configurations and Data

configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
