How To Install brotli on Kali Linux

What is brotli

brotli is:

Brotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression.

This package installs a command line utility.

There are three methods to install brotli on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install brotli Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install brotli using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install brotli

sudo apt-get -y autoremove brotli

Remove brotli Configurations and Data

To remove brotli configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge brotli
