How To Install brltty-x11 on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is brltty-x11
BRLTTY is a daemon which provides access to the Linux console (text mode) for a blind person using a braille display. It drives the braille display and provides complete screen review functionality.
This package contains optional screen drivers for BRLTTY which require X11 or GNOME.
There are three ways to install brltty-x11
on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install brltty-x11 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install brltty-x11
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install brltty-x11
Install brltty-x11 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install brltty-x11
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install brltty-x11
Install brltty-x11 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install brltty-x11
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install brltty-x11
How To Uninstall brltty-x11 on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the brltty-x11
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove brltty-x11
Uninstall brltty-x11 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall brltty-x11
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove brltty-x11
Remove brltty-x11 Configurations and Data
To remove brltty-x11
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge brltty-x11
Remove brltty-x11 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove brltty-x11
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
