What is boost148
Boost provides free peer-reviewed portable C++ source libraries. The emphasis is on libraries which work well with the C++ Standard Library, in the hopes of establishing “existing practice” for extensions and providing reference implementations so that the Boost libraries are suitable for eventual standardization. (Some of the libraries have already been proposed for inclusion in the C++ Standards Committee’’s upcoming C++ Standard Library Technical Report.)
We can use yum
or dnf
to install boost148
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install boost148.
Install boost148 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install boost148
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install boost148
Install boost148 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install boost148
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install boost148
How To Uninstall boost148 on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the boost148
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove boost148
