What is boinc-manager
The BOINC Manager is a graphical monitor and control utility for the BOINC core client. It gives a detailed overview of the state of the client it is monitoring. The BOINC Manager has two modes of operation, the “Simple View” in which it only displays the most important information and the “Advanced View” in which all information and all control elements are available.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install boinc-manager
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install boinc-manager.
Install boinc-manager on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install boinc-manager
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install boinc-manager
Install boinc-manager on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install boinc-manager
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install boinc-manager
How To Uninstall boinc-manager on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the boinc-manager
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove boinc-manager
