How To Install bird on Ubuntu 20.04

BIRD is an Internet routing daemon with full support for all the major routing protocols. It allows redistribution between protocols with a powerful route filtering syntax and an easy-to-use configuration interface.
This package supports IPv4 and IPv6 versions of OSPF, RIP and BGP.
There are three methods to install bird on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install bird using apt-get by running the following command:

Install bird Using aptitude

How To Uninstall bird on Ubuntu 20.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove bird
Remove bird Configurations and Data
To remove bird configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bird
Remove bird configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
