How To Install bio-tradis on Debian 10

In this tutorial we learn how to install bio-tradis on Debian 10.
What is bio-tradis
bio-tradis is:
Bio-Tradis contains a set of tools to analyse the output from TraDIS analyses.
The Bio-Tradis analysis pipeline is implemented as an extensible Perl library which can either be used as is, or as a basis for the development of more advanced analysis tools.
Please note: You need to manually install BioConductor Edger which can not be distributed by Debian in recent version since it is using non-distributable code locfit.
There are three methods to install bio-tradis on Debian 10. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bio-tradis Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bio-tradis using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bio-tradis
Install bio-tradis Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bio-tradis using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bio-tradis
Install bio-tradis Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bio-tradis using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bio-tradis
How To Uninstall bio-tradis on Debian 10
To uninstall only the bio-tradis package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bio-tradis
Uninstall bio-tradis And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bio-tradis and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bio-tradis
Remove bio-tradis Configurations and Data
To remove bio-tradis configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bio-tradis
