What is binutils-multiarch
binutils-multiarch is:
The programs in this package are used to manipulate binary and object files that may have been created on other architectures. This package is primarily for multi-architecture developers and cross-compilers and is not needed by normal users or developers. Note that a cross-assembling version of gas is not included in this package, just the binary utilities.
NORMAL USERS SHOULD NOT INSTALL THIS PACKAGE. It’s meant only for those requiring support for reading info from binaries from other architectures.
There are three methods to install binutils-multiarch

Install binutils-multiarch Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install binutils-multiarch
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install binutils-multiarch
Install binutils-multiarch Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install binutils-multiarch
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install binutils-multiarch
Install binutils-multiarch Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install binutils-multiarch
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install binutils-multiarch
How To Uninstall binutils-multiarch on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the binutils-multiarch
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove binutils-multiarch
Uninstall binutils-multiarch And Its Dependencies
To uninstall binutils-multiarch
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove binutils-multiarch
Remove binutils-multiarch Configurations and Data
To remove binutils-multiarch
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge binutils-multiarch
Remove binutils-multiarch configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove binutils-multiarch
