How To Install bcache-tools on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is bcache-tools
bcache-tools is:
Bcache allows the use of SSDs to cache other block devices.
Documentation for the run-time interface is included in the kernel tree; in Documentation/bcache.txt.
This package includes udev rules, initramfs support, and the utilities to create a new bcache as well as inspect existing bcache partitions.
There are three methods to install bcache-tools
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bcache-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install bcache-tools
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install bcache-tools

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install bcache-tools
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install bcache-tools
Install bcache-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install bcache-tools
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install bcache-tools
How To Uninstall bcache-tools on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bcache-tools
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove bcache-tools
Uninstall bcache-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bcache-tools
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove bcache-tools
Remove bcache-tools Configurations and Data
To remove bcache-tools
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge bcache-tools
Remove bcache-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bcache-tools
