What is banshee-meego
banshee-meego is:
Banshee is a media management and playback application for the GNOME desktop, allowing users to import audio from CDs, search their library, create playlists of selections of their library, sync music to/from iPods and other media devices, play and manage video files and burn selections to a CD.
This package contains Banshee’s MeeGo interface, optimised for running on small devices.
There are three methods to install banshee-meego
on Debian 9. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install banshee-meego Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-meego
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install banshee-meego

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-meego
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install banshee-meego
Install banshee-meego Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install banshee-meego
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install banshee-meego
How To Uninstall banshee-meego on Debian 9
To uninstall only the banshee-meego
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove banshee-meego
