How To Install bacula on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install bacula on Kali Linux.
What is bacula
bacula is:
Bacula is a set of programs to manage backup, recovery and verification of computer data across a network of computers of different kinds.
It is efficient and relatively easy to use, while offering many advanced storage management features that make it easy to find and recover lost or damaged files. Due to its modular design, Bacula is scalable from small single computer systems to networks of hundreds of machines.
This metapackage installs the entire suite of Bacula applications: job scheduling, storage control, node connector and administrative console.
There are three methods to install bacula on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install bacula Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bacula using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install baculaInstall bacula Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bacula using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install baculaInstall bacula Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install bacula using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install baculaHow To Uninstall bacula on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the bacula package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove baculaUninstall bacula And Its Dependencies
To uninstall bacula and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove baculaRemove bacula Configurations and Data
To remove bacula configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge baculaRemove bacula configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove bacula configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
