How To Install avahi-autoipd on Kali Linux

What is avahi-autoipd
avahi-autoipd is:
Avahi is a fully LGPL framework for Multicast DNS Service Discovery. It allows programs to publish and discover services and hosts running on a local network with no specific configuration. For example you can plug into a network and instantly find printers to print to, files to look at and people to talk to.
This tool implements IPv4LL, “Dynamic Configuration of IPv4 Link-Local Addresses” (IETF RFC3927), a protocol for automatic IP address configuration from the link-local 169.254.0.0/16 range without the need for a central server. It is primarily intended to be used in ad-hoc networks which lack a DHCP server.
There are three methods to install avahi-autoipd on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install avahi-autoipd Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install avahi-autoipd using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install avahi-autoipdInstall avahi-autoipd Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install avahi-autoipd using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the avahi-autoipd package we can use the following command:

To uninstall avahi-autoipd and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove avahi-autoipdRemove avahi-autoipd Configurations and Data
To remove avahi-autoipd configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge avahi-autoipdRemove avahi-autoipd configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove avahi-autoipd configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge avahi-autoipdDependencies
