How To Install atari++ on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install atari++
on CentOS 7.
What is atari++
The Atari++ Emulator is a Unix based emulator of the Atari eight bit computers, namely the Atari 400 and 800, the Atari 400XL, 800XL and 130XE, and the Atari 5200 game console. The emulator is auto-configurable and will compile on a variety of systems (Linux, Solaris, Irix). Atari++ 1.30 and up contain a built-in ROM emulation that tries to mimic the AtariXL operating system closely.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install atari++
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install atari++.
Install atari++ on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install atari++
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install atari++
Install atari++ on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install atari++
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install atari++
How To Uninstall atari++ on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the atari++
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove atari++
