How To Install ataqv on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ataqv on Kali Linux.
What is ataqv
ataqv is:
A toolkit for measuring and comparing ATAC-seq results, made in the Parker lab at the University of Michigan. They wrote it to help understand how well their ATAC-seq assays had worked, and to make it easier to spot differences that might be caused by library prep or sequencing.
There are three methods to install ataqv on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ataqv Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ataqv using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ataqvInstall ataqv Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ataqv using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ataqvInstall ataqv Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ataqv using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ataqvHow To Uninstall ataqv on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the ataqv package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ataqvUninstall ataqv And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ataqv and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ataqvRemove ataqv Configurations and Data
To remove ataqv configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ataqvRemove ataqv configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ataqv configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ataqvDependencies
