How To Install assimp-utils on Debian 12

on Debian 12.
What is assimp-utils
assimp-utils is:
Assimp is a library to import various well-known 3D model formats (“assets”) in a uniform manner. Assimp aims at providing a full asset conversion pipeline for use in game engines / realtime rendering systems of any kind but is not limited to this audience.
This package contains additional commandline utilities (currently only ‘assimp’) to interact with 3D models.
There are three methods to install assimp-utils
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get

and aptitude

Update apt database with apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install assimp-utils
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install assimp-utils
How To Uninstall assimp-utils on Debian 12
To uninstall only the assimp-utils
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove assimp-utils
Uninstall assimp-utils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall assimp-utils
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove assimp-utils
Remove assimp-utils Configurations and Data
To remove assimp-utils
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge assimp-utils
