How To Install asciidoc-common on Kali Linux

What is asciidoc-common

asciidoc-common is:

AsciiDoc is a text document format for writing articles, books, manuals and UNIX man pages. AsciiDoc files can be translated to HTML (with or without stylesheets), DocBook (articles, books and refentry documents) and LinuxDoc using the asciidoc command. AsciiDoc can also be used to build and maintain websites.

You write an AsciiDoc document the same way you would write a normal text document, there are no markup tags or weird format notations. AsciiDoc files are designed to be viewed, edited and printed directly or translated to other presentation formats

This package provides basic data and configuration files for the package.

There are three methods to install asciidoc-common on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install asciidoc-common using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install asciidoc-common

How To Uninstall asciidoc-common on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the asciidoc-common package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove asciidoc-common

To uninstall asciidoc-common and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove asciidoc-common
