How To Install arden on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install arden on Kali Linux.
What is arden
arden is:
ARDEN (Artificial Reference Driven Estimation of false positives in NGS data) is a novel benchmark that estimates error rates based on real experimental reads and an additionally generated artificial reference genome. It allows the computation of error rates specifically for a dataset and the construction of a ROC-curve. Thereby, it can be used to optimize parameters for read mappers, to select read mappers for a specific problem or also to filter alignments based on quality estimation.
There are three methods to install arden on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install arden Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install arden using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ardenInstall arden Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install arden using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the arden package we can use the following command:

To remove arden configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
