What is aprx

aprx is:

Aprx is an APRS specific Digipeater and iGate. It supports multiple KISS-TNCs on serial ports and listening to any kernel AX.25 network interfaces.

Additional features include a built-in “erlang-monitor” to analyze activity level of radio channels.

This software requires a valid (and unique) ham radio callsign to operate fully and is therefore useful mainly for licensed radio amateurs.

There are three methods to install aprx on Debian 9. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install aprx Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install aprx using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install aprx
