How To Install apr-util on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install apr-util on Rocky Linux 8.
What is apr-util
The mission of the Apache Portable Runtime (APR) is to provide a free library of C data structures and routines. This library contains additional utility interfaces for APR; including support for XML, LDAP, database interfaces, URI parsing and more.
We can use yum or dnf to install apr-util on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install apr-util.
Install apr-util on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install apr-util using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install apr-util
Install apr-util on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install apr-util using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install apr-util
How To Uninstall apr-util on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the apr-util package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove apr-util
