How To Install appc-spec on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install appc-spec on Kali Linux.
What is appc-spec
App Container (appc) is a well-specified and community developed specification for application containers. appc defines several independent but composable aspects involved in running application containers, including an image format, runtime environment, and discovery mechanism for application containers.
This package provides “actool” utility for the App Container (appc) specification and technical details on how an appc image is downloaded over a network, cryptographically verified, and executed on a host.
There are three ways to install appc-spec on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install appc-spec Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install appc-spec using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install appc-spec
Install appc-spec Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install appc-spec using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install appc-spec
Install appc-spec Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install appc-spec using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install appc-spec
How To Uninstall appc-spec on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the appc-spec package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove appc-spec
Uninstall appc-spec And Its Dependencies
To uninstall appc-spec and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove appc-spec
Remove appc-spec Configurations and Data
To remove appc-spec configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge appc-spec
Remove appc-spec configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove appc-spec configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge appc-spec
