How To Install aodh-api on Kali Linux

What is aodh-api
aodh-api is:
Ceilometer aims to deliver a Single Point Of Contact for billing systems, providing all the counters they need to establish customer billing, across all current and future OpenStack components. The delivery of counters must be traceable and auditable, the counters must be easily extensible to support new projects, and agents doing data collections should be independent of the overall system.
(A ceilometer is an instrument that measures cloud coverage.)
This package contains the API service.
There are three methods to install aodh-api on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install aodh-api Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install aodh-api using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install aodh-apiInstall aodh-api Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install aodh-api using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install aodh-apiInstall aodh-api Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install aodh-api using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install aodh-apiHow To Uninstall aodh-api on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the aodh-api package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove aodh-apiUninstall aodh-api And Its Dependencies
To uninstall aodh-api and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove aodh-apiRemove aodh-api Configurations and Data
To remove aodh-api configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge aodh-apiRemove aodh-api configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove aodh-api configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge aodh-apiDependencies
