How To Install ansible-test on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install ansible-test
on CentOS 7.
What is ansible-test
Ansible is a radically simple model-driven configuration management, multi-node deployment, and remote task execution system. Ansible works over SSH and does not require any software or daemons to be installed on remote nodes. Extension modules can be written in any language and are transferred to managed machines automatically. This package installs the ansible-test command for testing modules and plugins developed for ansible.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ansible-test
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ansible-test.
Install ansible-test on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ansible-test
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ansible-test
Install ansible-test on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ansible-test
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ansible-test
How To Uninstall ansible-test on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the ansible-test
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ansible-test
