How To Install ancient on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install ancient on Kali Linux.
What is ancient
ancient is:
This is a collection of decompression routines for old formats popular in the Amiga, Atari computers and some other systems from 80’s and 90’s as well as some that are currently used which were used in a some specific way in these old systems.
For simple usage both a simple command line application as well as a simple API to use the decompressors are provided. The compression algorithm is automatically detected in most cases, however there are some corner cases where it is not entirely reliable due to weaknesses in the old format used.
There are three methods to install ancient on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ancient Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ancient using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ancientInstall ancient Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install ancient using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ancientInstall ancient Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the ancient package we can use the following command:

To remove ancient configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
