How To Install altermime on Ubuntu 22.04

What is altermime
altermime is:
alterMIME is a small program which is used to alter your mime-encoded mailpacks as typically received by Inflex, Xamime and AMaViS.
alterMIME can: * Insert disclaimers; * Insert arbitrary X-headers; * Modify existing headers; * Remove attachments based on filename or content-type; * Replace attachments based on filename.
There are three methods to install altermime on Ubuntu 22.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install altermime Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install altermime using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install altermime
Install altermime Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install altermime using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install altermime
Install altermime Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

How To Uninstall altermime on Ubuntu 22.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove altermime
Remove altermime Configurations and Data
To remove altermime configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge altermime
