How To Install alien-arena on Kali Linux

What is alien-arena
ALIEN ARENA is a standalone 3D first person online death-match shooter crafted from the original source code of Quake II and Quake III, released by id Software under the GPL license. With features including 32-bit graphics, a new particle engine and effects, light blooms, reflective water, hi-resolution textures and skins, and hi-poly models and stain maps, ALIEN ARENA pushes the envelope of graphical beauty rivaling today’s top games.
This package installs the SDL client for Alien Arena.
There are three ways to install alien-arena on Kali Linux . We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install alien-arena Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install alien-arena using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install alien-arena
Install alien-arena Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install alien-arena using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install alien-arena
Install alien-arena Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install alien-arena using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install alien-arena
How To Uninstall alien-arena on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the alien-arena package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove alien-arena
Uninstall alien-arena And Its Dependencies
To uninstall alien-arena and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove alien-arena
Remove alien-arena Configurations and Data
To remove alien-arena configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge alien-arena
Remove alien-arena configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove alien-arena configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge alien-arena
