What is accountsservice
The accountsservice project provides a set of D-Bus interfaces for querying and manipulating user account information and an implementation of these interfaces, based on the useradd, usermod and userdel commands.
We can use yum or dnf to install accountsservice on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install accountsservice.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install accountsservice using dnf by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install accountsservice using yum by running the following command:

How To Uninstall accountsservice on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the accountsservice package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove accountsservice
