The Android Asset Packaging Tool (aapt) takes your application resource files, such as the AndroidManifest.xml file and the XML files for your Activities, and compiles them. An R.java is also produced so you can reference your resources from your Java code. This tool allows you to view, create, and update Zip-compatible archives (zip, jar, apk). It can also compile resources into binary assets.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get remove aapt

To uninstall aapt and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 22.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove aapt

Remove aapt Configurations and Data

To remove aapt configuration and data from Ubuntu 22.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge aapt

We can use the following command to remove aapt configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
