In this tutorial we learn how to install SuperLUMT on Rocky Linux 8.

What is SuperLUMT

Subroutines to solve sparse linear systems for shared memory parallel machines. SuperLU contains a set of subroutines to solve a sparse linear system A*X=B. It uses Gaussian elimination with partial pivoting (GEPP). The columns of A may be preordered before factorization; the preordering for sparsity is completely separate from the factorization.

We can use yum or dnf to install SuperLUMT on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install SuperLUMT.

Install SuperLUMT on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install SuperLUMT using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install SuperLUMT

Install SuperLUMT on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install SuperLUMT using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install SuperLUMT

How To Uninstall SuperLUMT on Rocky Linux 8

To uninstall only the SuperLUMT package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove SuperLUMT
