GraphicsMagick-devel contains the Libraries and header files you’ll need to develop GraphicsMagick applications. GraphicsMagick is an image manipulation program. If you want to create applications that will use GraphicsMagick code or APIs, you need to install GraphicsMagick-devel as well as GraphicsMagick. You do not need to install it if you just want to use GraphicsMagick, however.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install GraphicsMagick-devel
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install GraphicsMagick-devel.
Install GraphicsMagick-devel on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install GraphicsMagick-devel
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install GraphicsMagick-devel
Install GraphicsMagick-devel on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install GraphicsMagick-devel
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install GraphicsMagick-devel
How To Uninstall GraphicsMagick-devel on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the GraphicsMagick-devel
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove GraphicsMagick-devel
