How To Install 9base on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install 9base on Kali Linux.
What is 9base
9base is:
9base is a port of following original Plan 9 userland tools to Unix: ascii, awk, basename, bc, cal, cat, cleanname, cmp, date, dc, dd, diff, du, echo, ed, factor, fmt, fortune, freq, getflags, grep, hoc, join, look, ls, mk, mkdir, mtime, pbd, primes, rc, read, sam, sed, seq, sha1sum, sleep, sort, split, strings, tail, tee, test, touch, tr, troff, unicode, uniq, unutf, yacc.
Plan 9 is a distributed Unix-like operational system created by Bell Labs in the mid-1980s.
There are three methods to install 9base on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install 9base Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install 9base using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install 9baseInstall 9base Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the 9base package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove 9baseUninstall 9base And Its Dependencies
To uninstall 9base and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove 9baseRemove 9base Configurations and Data
To remove 9base configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge 9baseRemove 9base configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
