How To Install zidrav on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install zidrav
on Fedora 36.
What is zidrav
ZIDRAV stands for “Zorba’s Incredible Data Repairer And Verifier”, and is an extremely useful tool for cross-checking files that have been transfered via HTTP, FTP, or some other method. What it does, is generates a checksum file, and then by comparing that checksum with the original file, it creates a patch file that can repair the corrupted file. Very cool, and saves re-downloading.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install zidrav
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install zidrav.
Install zidrav on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install zidrav
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install zidrav
Install zidrav on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install zidrav
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install zidrav
How To Uninstall zidrav on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the zidrav
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove zidrav
