How To Install zfstream on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install zfstream
on Fedora 36.
What is zfstream
zfstream is a small C++ library which provides an abstraction API for reading and writing compressed and non-compressed files using the same API. It supports libz and libbz2 compression schemes. The library is trivial to use and provides client applications with a unified interface for reading and writing files without having to know whether they are compressed or not.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install zfstream
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install zfstream.
Install zfstream on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install zfstream
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install zfstream
