How To Install ytalk on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ytalk
on Fedora 36.
What is ytalk
The YTalk program is essentially a chat program for multiple users. YTalk works just like the UNIX talk program and even communicates with the same talk daemon(s), but YTalk allows for multiple connections (unlike UNIX talk). YTalk also supports redirection of program output to other users as well as an easy-to-use menu of commands.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install ytalk
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ytalk.
Install ytalk on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ytalk
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ytalk
Install ytalk on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install ytalk
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ytalk
How To Uninstall ytalk on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the ytalk
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ytalk
