How To Install yank on Fedora 36
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install yank
on Fedora 36.
What is yank
Read input from stdin and display a selection interface that allows a field to be selected and copied to the clipboard. Fields are either recognized by a regular expression using the -g option or by splitting the input on a delimiter sequence using the -d option.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install yank
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install yank.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install yank
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install yank

sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install yank
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install yank
