What is wshowkeys

Displays key presses on screen on supported Wayland compositors (requires wlr_layer_shell_v1 support eg sway). Usage wshowkeys [-b|-f|-s #RRGGBB[AA]] [-F font] [-t timeout] [-a top|left|right|bottom] [-m margin] [-o output] -b #RRGGBB[AA] -f #RRGGBB[AA] -s #RRGGBB[AA] -F font -t timeout -a top|left|right|bottom May be specified twice. -m margin -o output output (unimplemented)

We can use yum or dnf to install wshowkeys on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install wshowkeys.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall wshowkeys on Fedora 36

To uninstall only the wshowkeys package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove wshowkeys
