How To Install wmnd on Fedora 36

In this tutorial we learn how to install wmnd
on Fedora 36.
What is wmnd
WMND is a dockapp for monitoring network interfaces under WindowMaker and other compatible window managers. WMND currently works on Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, OpenSolaris, Darwin and IRIX. WMND can monitor multiple interfaces at the same time, sports several display modes and can also monitor remote interfaces through SNMP.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install wmnd
on Fedora 36. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install wmnd.
Install wmnd on Fedora 36 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install wmnd
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install wmnd
Install wmnd on Fedora 36 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install wmnd
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install wmnd
How To Uninstall wmnd on Fedora 36
To uninstall only the wmnd
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove wmnd
